How to celebrate father's day?

Father’s day is just round the corners. So wondering how to celebrate this special day with your father?
we have some good ideas for you to make this day a memorable day for your beloved Dad.

Pamper your dad

Most easiest way is to pamper your dad with whatever he likes to do. It can be a morning breakfast in bed, or just a round of cycling in the neighborhood park in the morning. You can take your dad's favourite breakfast cooked by you to his bed even before he wakes up. And add a special father's day cards to the tray. This morning you can accompany him to the park for a round of cycling or just a walk by him, holding his hands, reliving those days of childhood. You can have a round of golf with him as well.

Cooking his favorite dishes

No celebration is complete without food. How about making it the main course of father's day celebration? Figure out what your father likes to eat or wants to have that very day. Give it your best shot to prepare the best dish for your dad.. A good dessert dish at the end will be just as perfect.

Gifts for him

Ties, wallets or pens are best examples of Fathers day gifts, but give him a surprise by buying something which he is planning to buy for a long time . You can also surprise him by making CD or DVD containing all your fond childhood photographs with him
You can also express your love through handmade innovative gifts like greetings cards, photo frames, photo collages, greeting wallets, etc.

Gift him your time
If your father is an ardent music and theatre lover, make sure you do not miss the live concerts, and good theatrical performance on that day. For a father with artistic temperament, we propose you visit a craft bazaar, or an art exhibition. Going to an auto expo, and a gadget exhibition is best if your father is techno-savvy. If your father is a sports freak then do not miss the opportunity of playing with him his favourite sport. Gift him passes for a car rally, go bowling, playing golf, and doing horse riding with him

There can be another fantastic way of making your father feel special. Go on a family picnic to a natural resort or a waterfall or a hilltop. Choosing to go on a secluded, peaceful location will give you a chance to rejuvenate and freshen-up simultaneously spending a quality time with family. Go fishing with your father if you opt to go near a river bank.
Once back home, give him another reason to feel special. Surprise him with your cooking talent. Prepare his favourite dessert and snack, sit along with him and tell him again that he means world to you!

Father's Day

The role of a father in a family is undeniable. Ancient, medieval or modern, be it any society, fathers always have had a significant role to play in a child's life. A father is a friend, philosopher and guide to his children. His shoulder provides the perfect comfort from the doldrums of life and his arms provides complete protection. There's no way that father's love can be substituted by anything or anyone.

A father-child relationship is definitely a reason to celebrate and Father's day is designed essentially for this purpose. In modern society Mother's day came into being first, because mothers were regarded as the only nurturer of a child. A father's role in shaping the mental and emotional well being of a child was often relegated to a secondary status. The role of a father was traditionally believed to be more of a provider and guide. True that a mother owns the divine right of giving birth to a child, a father helps him open up his eyes and see the world. He lends him his experience and confidence to face the world. Its only a father who inspires his children to be independent and take life in their own stride.

Therefore Father's day is a perfect occasion to thank that man who has happily taken all our responsibilities on his shoulder and has striven every day to give us a better life. His contribution in shaping up our future in undeniable. Father’s day is celebrated all over the world and in India too. It is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June. It is a tribute to him for showering on us his selfless care and protection.

Father's day celebration make him feel that his contributions are acknowledged by their children and family. This also makes them realize their father's importance in shaping up their lives. This is the time, this is the day when the children should express their gratitude to their fathers heartily. A simple I love you and a warm hug can go a long way to win his heart.

Send Father's Day Cards to your Dad and make him feel really special.

World Environment Day

The World Environment Day is a reminder to all the citizens of the earth to sit back and think about the planet earth and preserve it for the future generation. The World Environment Day(WED), an initiative by the United nations environment program was started on 5th June in 1972 to identify problems related to environmental hazards and take corrective measures. That was the year when the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment came into being. In 1973, WED was first celebrated to tackle the environmental ills like the environmental governance, disasters and conflicts, climate change, hazardous substances, global warming and management of Eco-system, biodiversity and resource efficiency. Since then 5th June came into being to be known as the world environment day.

The World Environment Day invites people from all the walks of life to come forward and do their bit to save the planet and understand their responsibility to ensure a greener and cleaner place to live in for the future generations to come. It has received wide support from public, non profit organizations and governments from across the world.

Each year different cities play host to World Environment day, with a complete new theme. The Environment week kicks off from 5th of June. This year Brazil will play the host to the event with a new theme of Green Economy. As the name suggests, the idea green economy is about public and private investment aimed at curbing carbon emissions and pollution, boosting energy and resource efficiency, and promoting balance in ecosystem and preventing loss of biodiversity.

So on this World Environment Day, let the world go green with small individual efforts from everyone on this earth.

Best Friends Day

Post childhood, our preferences change. There grows a need to connect with people similar in age, intellect, and likings. In comparison to parents and siblings, we become closer to friends for we tend to spend more time in their company. And when we find someone with whom we click most spontaneously and suitably, we call him/her our “best friend”. It’s fortunate to find a best friend as best friends are hard to find. A best buddy understands us completely and becomes a source of great inspiration, motivation and love. He/she shares our joys, sorrows, and secrets, and gives us sincere advice when the world tries to misdirect us. With a best friend to fall back on, we combat life’s challenges more easily and grow strong with his/her support. It is true that a best friend connect with us on a spiritual level, they understand us best even when we do not express, they put up with us even when we behave nasty, they stand by us through our thick and thin and most importantly never demand anything in return. It is their selfless love and deep concern for us that sets them apart from our other friends and relations.

In this fast paced life, we end up taking so many things for granted including the invaluable company of our best buddy. Best Friend Day gives us a special chance to make an extra effort to nurture our love with our best buddy and make it ever lasting.

Best Friend Day is a wonderful to medium to honour your friendship with your closest pal. Believe it or not, your best friends deserve every remark of respect for they are your biggest support system. Show them that you care and that their presence is indispensible in your life. Send them a bunch of roses this day with a greeting card that conveys your deepest feelings for them.

You can celebrate Best Friends Day by spending quality time exclusively with your best friend. Plan an outing to an amusement park or a waterfall or a hilltop. Sit amidst the natural beauty and cherish your old memories together. Talk about the times you fought with each other, cared for each other and felt lonely without each other. Surprise her/him with his/her favourite gift and as you do so express your admiration for her/him. Do not forget to capture these moments in your camera.

Thank them for all they have done for you so far. Take a walk together, or go on a long drive and play a lovely song to pay tribute to your friendship.

International Children's Day

On the first day of June, many countries celebrate International Children’s Day. The world conference for the well-being of children in Geneva, Switzerland, announced June 1st to be International Children's Day in 1925. It was first celebrated in 1954 under the guidance of the United National General Assembly, but it was not celebrated on 1st June. Even though each country chooses its own day to celebrate Children’s Day; June 1st, has been taken up in the US as the official day. More than 30 states actively participate in the June 1st celebration.

Since then it is being celebrated every year. On this day the world conference meets up and there are discussions on children's rights and their well-being, and other concerns involving or in relation to children. The message of love and hope is sent all over the world by children on this Day. Festivals, Health programs, Theatrical plays and concerts for the children are organized throughout the world.

While Children’s Day is a special day for children we as adults have a special responsibility towards them. We have to take care of their needs and protect their rights. As children are our future, lets honor them and make them feel valued and loved this International Children’s Day.
