Baisakhi - One of India's Harvest Festival

Baisakhi also known as 'Vaisakhi' is the harvest festival in India mainly in Punjab state. It is celebrated by Sikh Community in the month of March-April when the new Solar year starts. Sikhs from all places visit Gurdwaras to worship and take part in appropriate devotions. They prepare Holy Nectar and Karah Prasad on this day. This is not all they also celebrate this day by dancing and singing all day. Men do Bhangra and women do Gidda that are the folk dances of Punjabi. It is performed in many styles.
