Memorial Day In US

Memorial Day took birth in the United States on May 30, 1868, after the Civil War had ended. It is now celebrated on the last Monday of May. It has grown to honor all those soldiers who sacrificed their lives in war and peace. t was originally recognized on May 30 until an official declaration set the celebration on the final Monday of May.

Flowers were put on the graves of both sides, in order to help heal the nation. Modern tradition sees hundreds of volunteers arriving at Arlington National Cemetery the Thursday before the holiday to adorn the gravestones with small American flags. This custom is also carried out at national cemeteries all over the country.

People of America come to think of the start of the summer season. The school year has ended and families are free to gather together for a trip , party or a barbecue. Retailers also use the long weekend to attract consumers by offering seasonal discounts.

On this weekend in the United States people sit together to commemorate the men and women who paid the ultimate price in defense of their country.

This Memorial Day also gives a chance to reflect on the sacrifice that many families around the world have made in service to their nations, whether they were in the military themselves or lost loved ones in war.

At this day people should come together and appreciate their dedication and the sacrifices made by them and their families.People should remember their greatness and how they impacted.
